Skiing

This week instead of doing your homework,  why not go skiing?

Not only is skiing is a fun way to spend time with friends and family, but it also has its health benefits. Skiing improves flexibility and muscular fitness while seeming effortless when going down the mountain. Your heart rate is elevated because of the physical movement that skiing requires, and as a result, improves your cardiovascular fitness.

Along with being a healthy activity, skiing also improves your mood by releasing endorphins and adrenaline. These endorphins will put you in a better mood and improve overall mental health.

If you are really looking to go out of your comfort zone, go in themed outfits. Not only will you enjoy seeing your friends in ridiculous outfits, but you may even put a smile on someone else's face.

So instead of doing your work, why not go skiing?

Wait But Why?

Instead of working on your DECA invention, why not read Wait But Why?

This "blog" talks about anything and everything, and do it in a very relatable way.  These men talk about their experiences and their thoughts.

So, I am sure you are now thinking "Why is reading what this guy thinks proactive in any way?" Well what a fabulous question, I was actually just thinking the same thing.

I find this blog very funny. The way they write about the things they do makes it very entertaining to read. I also find myself laughing from time to time. I find joy in reading this humorous blog, which makes it proactive.

If reading this blog improves your mood, you will be better prepared to do whatever work you are procrastinating.  When you do decide to do your work, the quality of what you do will improve. Being in a good mood, it is a lot easier to produce good work.

So, reading this blog may not be that proactive, but at least you will have a good laugh.

Next time you are looking for something to do when you are not doing your homework, why not read Wait But Why?

Candy Crush Saga

This week, instead of writing an English paper that is due, why not immerse yourself in hours of Candy Crush?

Many of you are probably thinking, “Candy Crush? Why in the world would I play Candy Crush?”

Candy Crush is not only an easy way to pass the time, but it also has benefits. By playing this addicting game you are taught patience. If you have lost all of your lives, there is nothing you can do but wait for more (unless you are willing to pay for a life refill).

Not only are you taught patience, you learn perseverance. You could give up on a level when it gets hard but you don’t because you want to see what lies ahead. Even though you may be so frustrated you want to throw your device at a wall, you don’t because you are set on defeating the level.

So next time you are looking for something to do while procrastinating work, why not play Candy Crush Saga?

About Me

As a high school student, procrastinating my school work comes as a second nature. Living in a small mountain town, there are many other things that I could be doing that are much more enjoyable than my school work. So why not do all these other things?
